About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where four friends kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space. We turned that habit into a small site because we couldn't find reviews that talked about the boring-but-important stuff: does the touch control drift, does the phone get warm, can you drop the graphics and still enjoy it.

There's no big office here. We're a handful of people who play in commutes, on couches, and during lunch breaks, then compare notes.,Every game we cover gets played on more than one device, usually a mid-range Android and an older iPhone, so we know how it behaves when the hardware isn't top of the line. We care about frame drops, load times, and how the settings menu treats you.,We pick games by what people ask about and what we're genuinely curious to try. Sometimes that's a big-name release, sometimes it's a weird little thing nobody's covering. If a game bores us, we say so.,Nothing here is a paid placement. When we like something we explain why, and when we don't, we explain that too. That's the whole point.
