Slotoro
Slotoro is a casual tap-and-match game built around spinning reels of cartoon symbols. You tap to set the reels going, and the fun comes from planning which columns to lock and which to re-spin so the little icons line up into patterns. It's the kind of thing you play in short bursts while waiting for coffee, and the loop is easy to pick up in the first minute.
Control-wise it keeps things simple: one big spin button, tap-to-hold on individual columns, and a swipe to browse between the themed boards. I liked that the tap targets are large enough to use one-handed on the train. The animations are chunky and colorful, and there's a gentle click every time a symbol snaps into place that makes it feel tactile.
On settings, Slotoro gives you a proper options menu: you can turn off the background particles, cap the frame rate, and mute the music separately from the sound effects. Dropping the effects down noticeably eased the battery drain during a long session, which I appreciated on my older phone. It ran cool and never stuttered even with everything turned up.
